A Day on the River with Jack
Jack and his family have made the Gallatin River their favorite place to relax. Jack’s parents taught him to fish on some of Montana's most iconic rivers, including the Gallatin. Originally from northern Michigan, Jack always treasured the rare trips to Montana. After years of missing Montana's big skies, he decided to head west and spend his summers working at Elkhorn. Jack has been guiding at Elkhorn for four years and loves every minute of it. From taking guests out on his all-time favorite river to hunching over and pulling noxious weeds, the ranch has become his home.

Fly-fishing isn’t just another activity here—it’s part of the flow of ranch life. Mornings spent wading in the river can pair with afternoons on horseback or evenings by the fire. Elkhorn offers the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, making every day unique.
